“As a solo female senior traveler, I have to say this was the most adventurous trip I’ve ever taken! It took our guide, Dwight, and the other 12 people in the van to also make it the most fun trip I think I’ve ever had. We all enjoyed each other’s company throughout our Grand Discovery Tour and I believe became quite like a family by the end. Every excursion was well planned, and even some of the little side trips we took introduced us to parts of Alaska’s nature, history, and customs that we may not have seen otherwise. Trekking on the Matanuska glacier was a highlight for me as well as zip lining in Denali and enjoying the wonder of the Iditarod sled dogs in action.
