Why take an Alaska Land Tour?

The unique part about Alaska is that it is massive! There are so many different ways to see our beautiful state that you could spend months exploring and still not see everything that makes this the “Great Land.”

For more than 30 years, our family-owned Alaska based company has specialized in small-group (no more than 14 passengers) guided land tours designed to help you experience Alaska – safely, comfortably and in a more authentic way.

Small Groups Make All the Difference

One of the biggest reasons our travelers prefer our land tours over the large cruise ship vacations is the pace and atmosphere of our tours.

Instead of traveling with thousands of passengers, we keep our tours intentionally small – 7 to 14 guests per vehicle.

Small groups mean:

  • More personal attention from your guide
  • Less waiting
  • Better wildlife viewing opportunities
  • Flexible stops for scenic photography or local spots

Many of our guests say the small-group environment quickly begins to feel like traveling with friends rather than strangers.

Adventure without “roughing it”

A common misconception about Alaska land tours is that they are physically demanding. The reality of our tours is that we are designed for a wide range of activity levels. We generally say our tours are geared for five years to 85 years old. We combine scenic travel, wildlife spotting, cultural experiences, comfortable lodging, and optional adventure activities that allow each person to choose their comfort level.

That means:

  • Take a scenic rafting trip instead of whitewater rapids
  • Enjoy glacier viewing without strenuous hiking
  • Experience Denali and Alaska’s national parks comfortably
  • Ride the Alaska Railroad through spectacular scenery
  • Watch for bears, moose, whales, and eagles with minimal exertion
