Choose one of the included activity options one or two or you can upgrade to option three or four.

Click the option titles below to show and hide details.

Option 1) Ididaride Dog Sled Ride

Your adventure begins with a two-mile dog sled ride. Feel the power, excitement, and energy of our amazing sled dogs as they are harnessed to our comfortable wheeled sleds. The intrigue of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, also known as Alaska’s Superbowl, comes alive as you mush through the Alaskan wilderness to the base of Resurrection Mountain and along Box Canyon Creek. Your Iditarod veteran guide will thrill and excite you with stories from the trail as you experience the raw power of 13 Iditarod sled dogs. Upon return to the kennel, tour our beautiful kennel facilities, laugh as a guest is dressed up as an Iditarod musher, and cuddle adorable husky puppies!

Option 2) Sea Kayak Tour

It seems that there is as much to see on the shores of Resurrection Bay as there is on the water! Sea Kayaking will offer a variety of wildlife and let’s not forget the salmon when they are getting ready to spawn. Your kayaking tour will go to Tonsina creek. Your guide will provide instructions for the group’s safety and procedures should any emergency arise. Your group will then start paddling south on Resurrection Bay closely following the shore.

At Bridal Veil beach, you will beach the kayaks, stretch your legs, and share snacks and hydration. The guides will provide you with information on the salmon stream and the types of salmon that spawn here and we try to answer your questions for a bit.

After this break you will paddle back to Lowell Point. If you’re wanting to do a multi-adventure day, this trip provides time to combine this experience with yet another adventure during the same day, such as the Iditarod or Zip Line! Kayaking tour location subject to change due to time of year, weather and ability levels.

Trips depart 9:00 am. You will be met at your local hotel lobby and head out to Lowell Point Recreation area just south of Seward. The group will go over the very basics of sea kayaking. Dry bags and ziplock bags are provided to keep gear and cameras dry, please let the guide know of your needs.

  • Must be 8 years or older
  • Minimum 2 people required
  • All kayaks are “Tandem”, if you are a single, you will be paired with another guest

Option 3) Halibut / Salmon / Rockfish / Fishing Combo Tour
(Upgrade $410 pp)

Welcome aboard. Clear, deep-water gulf currents upwelling against offshore reefs and ledges create a nutrient-rich marine ecosystem with heavy bait fish concentrations, drawing huge game fish of all Alaska gulf species. Incredible catches are a regular occurrence in this unique environment and anglers from all over the world converge here to try their hand at Alaska halibut fishing. The Pacific Halibut is the most sought after and prized sport-fish in Alaska waters. Capable of powerful, high-speed runs, they are the heavyweight of all bottom-fish species. These fish have been known to exceed 500 pounds and are considered the hardest fighting bottom-dwelling fish in the world. Although our primary target is Alaska halibut fishing, we fish in areas where all species of bottom-dwelling fish tend to congregate. It is not uncommon to land trophy lingcod, rockfish and salmon.  There are also days of the week each year that select fish cannot be caught.  For example, Wednesday may be denied for Halibut. If you choose to book this fishing tour, please know select days are limited, and we cannot know in advance what the fishing regulations will be at the time of your departure. If you choose fishing, we suggest you overnight in Seward – not Anchorage and take the motorcoach or rail back to Anchorage the next day.

Option 4) Authentic Dog Sled Glacier Adventure

This Alaskan outdoor adventure tour does it all! Alaska helicopter glacier tours – flight seeing, a glacier landing, and a dog sled ride makes this triple adventure a unique and unforgettable experience and the highlight of any Alaskan adventure tour vacation. Pristine beauty, majestic mountains and ancient glaciers are seemingly within arm’s reach as you near your destination… the Godwin Glacier! A breathtaking view of Resurrection Bay and glacier-carved mountains unfold to this unspoiled wilderness, home to mountain goats, bears, moose and eagles that may be spotted along the way. On the glacier, wait to share an essential part of Alaskan culture . . . Alaska dog mushing! Experienced guides explain that Seward, Alaska was the historical start of the famous Iditarod Sled Dog Trail. Hear unique personal accounts of their own Iditarod races and backcountry experiences. As they answer your questions you feel the excitement as the team is hooked up, then… you’re off! Imagine yourself standing on the runners of a dog sled with a team of huskies loping across the ancient snowfield nestled among the peaks of the Chugach range. The lure of the trail and thrill of driving a dog team creates the ultimate Alaskan vacation!

Optional Upgrade: $580 per person plus tax. Minimum 2 persons required for guaranteed departure.
