Alaska Tour Operators Memberships
Alaska Adventure Unlimited is a current member or partner of: Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mat-Su Convention and Visitors Bureau, Alaska Travel Industry Association, Alaska Mat-Su Bed & Breakfast Association, Travel Leaders Network, Expedia.com, Trip Advisors & Cruise Lines International Association. Membership in some of these organizations require members to meet specific requirements in regards to relationships with other members as well as in providing quality services to the traveling public.
- Environmental Impact: AAU keeps trips small to limit the impact on local villages, protecting the integrity of the places we visit. We work with outfitters who limit their impact on the environment such as hiking, rafting etc.
- Visitor Conservation: AAU shares with its visiting guests, our desires for environmental and cultural sensitivity. We help our guests pack out their trash with each trip as well as share with them the fragility of our last frontier.
- Social Responsibility: AAU uses locally owned lodges and cabins vs. hotel chains where ever possible. We visit historic places as well as educate our visitors regarding native lifestyles. We ensure as much of the money goes back into the local communities to support the local people. Green travel goes hand-in-hand with fair and decent treatment of local people.
Join us in our goal to keep Alaska pristine and unfettered.
